2 Delicious Recipes With Mango: Smoothie And Mango Candy

Both the smoothie and the mango candy are 2 very healthy, tasty and super easy recipes to make. If you have trouble eating fruit, this is a different and fun way to do it. Mango properties

Mango is a pulpy and juicy fruit that is very rich in magnesium and provitamins A and C. It also has high concentrations of carbohydrates, which makes it have a high caloric value. It is also a fruit with great antioxidant power. On the other hand, it  contains a lot of fiber, ideal for people with constipation problems. Here we show you two ways to prepare it.

Mango smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 mangoes
  • 1 glass of skim milk (approximately 220 ml)
  • 4 natural yogurts, with mango flavor or another flavor.
  • White or brown sugar (optional)
  • Crushed ice

Utensils:

  •  bowl
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • Film or aluminum foil
  • Blender

Mango Sorbet

  • Keep your yogurts in the coldest part of the refrigerator.
  • Wash the handles very well. Cut them in half and remove the bone.
  • Cut them into pieces and put them in a bowl.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and put in the refrigerator until cool.
  • Take out the bowl and add the yogurt to the mangoes.  Beat  very well with the mixer.
  • Add the sugar or sweetener, the milk and continue beating.
  • If you want you can present it with crushed ice.

  • Always make your smoothie with skim milk. Remember that it is halfway between a juice and a smoothie, so it should not be too doughy.

  • If you want the smoothie to be super smooth, use icing sugar.
  • If you prefer a creamy smoothie, substitute the yogurt for mascarpone cheese (200 g). Beat it with the sugar and add the milk little by little until you get a kind of smoothie. Finally, add a mango smoothie.
  • You can also add other fruits that go very well with mango, such as banana or orange.
  • If you need more vitamins, also add some vegetables such as spinach or carrots.
  • Garnish your smoothie with a little ground cinnamon on top or a mint or spearmint leaf.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 ripe mangoes
    • 1 dash of lemon juice (optional)
    • 1/2 glass of water approx. (150 ml)
    • 1 dash of sunflower oil
    • 4 g agar-agar

    Utensils:

    •  knife
    • saucepan
    •  cutting board
    •  plastic spoon
    •  mold
    •  blender
    •  Chinese (optional)

    preparation:

    • Wash, peel and pit the mangoes.
    • Drizzle with the lemon juice.
    • Blend the mangoes with the mixer. If you want the sweet to be softer, pass it through a Chinese, remember that the mango has a lot of fiber.
    • Heat the water in a saucepan and add the agar agar.
    • Let it boil over medium-low heat without stopping stirring for a couple of minutes.
    • Brush a mold with sunflower oil.
    • Mix the water with the crushed mango.
    • Put in the mold and put in the fridge until it has thickened.
